Copper-coated surface – naturally algae-resistant. Copper has proven antimicrobial properties: it naturally inhibits the growth of algae and bacteria in water. That means cleaner water for the birds – and less maintenance for you. At the same time, the slightly textured copper surface gives birds a secure grip, unlike slippery ceramic or plastic.

Graduated bowl with shallow edges – Works like a natural creek bank: small birds like chickadees and wrens stand on the rim in the shallow water and cool off. Larger species like robins and cardinals wade into the deeper middle to bathe. Every species finds its depth – no bird has to drown.

Ground stake for easy placement – Push it into the ground and you're done. Stands firm and stable in the lawn or garden bed. The elevated position gives birds a clear sightline to spot predators – making it much harder for cats to sneak up.

Textured, ornamental rim – The decorations along the rim aren't just for looks – they give birds a solid grip when landing and provide an escape route for insects like bees and butterflies that have fallen into the water.

Easy to clean – Smooth interior bowl with no corners or crevices. Thanks to the copper coating, significantly less algae builds up compared to ceramic or plastic. Still, Earl recommends: rinse with fresh water once a week.
